SOUTH BARTON ROAD

TrailBooster, Inc. was founded because of the lack of safe pedestrian access along the Southern stretch of Barton Road from Eureka Road to East Roseville Parkway in Placer County, CA. We've tackled the problem of disconnected neighborhoods along this section of Barton Road in two ways:

  • South Barton Road Pedestrian Path / Trail - PHASE 1 COMPLETED, PHASE II UNDERWAY (TO BE FINISHED FALL 2021) We've been working with Placer County for 8+ years to get a pedestrian trail / family bike path along Barton Road resulting in it becoming an approved County Project. TrailBooster further helped the County obtain the necessary easements to install the trail. The trail is being installed along the West side of Barton Road, connecting Eureka Road to East Roseville Parkway. TrailBooster is helping the effected homeowners with the cost of new privacy fencing and other landscape features which the county does not provide. We will also be organizing volunteers to help the country parks & trails crew with installation.
  • PHASE 1 (from Eureka Road to Oak Creek Place) is nearly complete and included the removal of old fencing and brush and installation of new horse fence and path. Some improvements to the path are still to come.
  • PHASE II (from Oak Creek Place to East Roseville Parkway) is in early stages of construction. A trail design has been developed and fencing is now being moved. Next steps include the clearing of brush, grading and trail installation. Let us know if you'd like to help!

  • South Barton Road Widening, Repaving and Re-striping - COMPLETED  SPRING 2020!  Local residents may have noticed that this section of Barton Road is now a lot better for cyclists and runners than it used to be! That's the first accomplishment of TrailBooster. Without our advocacy, Barton Road's shoulders would not have been widened; it would not have had pipe placed in its ditches with storm drains to result in the bike-friendly shoulder that it is today. Many thanks to Placer County Roads Department, especially Kevin Taber, Engineering Manager, for diligently listening to the needs of the community, making modifications that were good for both motorists and cyclists, and securing additional funding to do an excellent job! This is a prime example of how a public works project should be done with a solution-oriented attitude and in partnership with residents. Thank you!!

EUREKA ROAD

Eureka Road between Auburn/Folsom Blvd and Granite Bay High School will be among our next pedestrian and trail priorities.

We need your help!

Neighborhood contributions and donations from other supporters are essential for bringing the Barton Road Pedestrian Trail from vision to fruition. They will primarily help pay for things like new privacy fencing and landscape / hardscape features, etc. for impacted homeowners. If you've ever tried to take a family bike ride or walk your dog along this section of Barton road, you know that this trail will make a HUGE improvement on the walkability, safety and wellness of this community.

Note, this trail is not for the spandex-wearing road cyclists -- they'll enjoy the newly widened shoulder on the road. It will be a decomposed granite trail for families, kids, joggers, and dog walkers.

Your donations are tax-deductible because TrailBooster is a federally approved 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
